{Preparations + your advice}

***Post edit: Some of you have asked where I got the quilt. My best friend leah has made a quilt for each of my kids. She made this one and gave it to me when she was here for my birthday. Let me know if you want her email address.

Her and her also make amazing quilts...FYI.***Yesterday we moved out everything from the guest room (which will be the girls room) and prepped it to be painted. We're hoping by the weekend their room will be finished (with the exception of a few decorations and shelves) so they can start adjusting to sharing a room.

Any tips on how to make the transition to sharing a room easier on them and me? Both girls take naps from 2-4 everyday, however Ella reads for a good 45-an hour before she naps. Should I have them sleep in different rooms still for nap time?

Your advice on having kids share a room would be much appreciated.

Speaking of advice/suggestions...A few things that I'm starting to collect for #3. I know I've said this before, but I'm having such a hard time finding cute boy clothes. There are cute clothes but they are all just the same...polos, stripes and plaid. Anything else out there?

Do you have a favorite store/website? What do you have your baby wear to church when they are little? I would put my girls in dresses even as a newborn for church but what do you put a little boy in?

Help!!!

{Ella}

I love updating Ella's little blog with her. The things that come out of her mouth crack me up. Click on over and read what's been going on in her little world.It's Bret's day off and we've got a lot on our list. Doctor's appointment, taping before painting, moving stuff out of rooms, Costco run, hitting up a few thrift stores, Target, etc.

I'm starting to realize how much we have to do and not very much time left to do it before the baby comes...wish us luck!

{No. 109}

I know you've probably seen around the blogging world info regarding Formspring. I get a lot of emails with a wide array of questions and thought this would be a great way to answer them and have others see the answers. Just click on the right side bar where it says "Ask a question"...don't be shy! (I have already answered some of the questions that I got yesterday).Spotted these and got a good chuckle. I know I shouldn't but I write on my hands mini lists of things I need to do or get. These Todo-Tattoo's would make an awesome gag gift for someone like me.Spring is just around the corner. I love all the little cardigans and feminine tops coming out for Spring. Being pregnant makes shopping not so fun, but I can still look and drool right? I'll take one of each please.I have no desire to spend money on an outfit for Easter...remember, sporting a baby belly. Instead I'm thinking about using pieces I already have and adding some fun to the outfit with a cuff like this one. I love the colors and the chunkiness (is that a word?) of it.I love my Polaroid camera and of course my new Fuji Instax that Bret got me for my birthday. I love the way the film develops and the look of the picture. If you do too but don't have an instant film camera now you can turn any photo into one. These Polaroid frames are an awesome and different way to display pictures. I'm sure you've seen some pretty sweet ways to use Polaroids around the Internet these days.Colored wedges and flats are calling my name for Spring. Here are a few that I'm loving at the moment. Let me know if you need to know where they are from.Thought this was such a neat idea. A simple piece of silver that displays the Longitude and Latitude of a place where something important took place. Where you got married, where your child was born, where you first told your significant other you loved them, the possibilities are endless. What a great gift idea!

Happy Monday!

{Patience}

If you want something that will teach you/try your patience as well as your kids and make them completely silent (for the most part) play Jenga.

The worrisome looks, drama filled squeals, and furrowed brow of concentration are mighty entertaining to observe as well.

Happy Friday!

{Delicious + Dangerous}

+Do you bite down as soon as it enters your mouth?

or

+Do you slowly melt away the hard candy shell then devour the chocolate?

or

+Do you slowly melt away the whole bit of heaven until nothing is left?

How do you enjoy Cadbury mini eggs?

I slowly melt away the candy shell trying my hardest not to give into the urge to bite down for as long as I can. It is also a must to have the same number of each color. Why you ask? Cause that's how I roll I suppose.

We are off to spend the day at Disneyland with our best friends who are visiting. We've got our mickey ears (pink of course), extra clothes for splash mountain and a plan of what rides we're going to do courtesy of Ella and Mailee.

{29 and loving it!}

Today I am 29.
{A.dorable baby picture I know...if you're down with Sumo wrestlerst}
Looking back at what I thought I'd be doing when I was 29 it seems as though I'm on the right track (with a few unexpected twists and turns), but I am content with where I am and where I am heading.There are areas in my life that I wish I could be doing more and be more but I think that's a good thing.
{obviously a big fan of the doll cake}
It gives me drive, goals and perspective. It allows me to grow, develop, discover and live.
{Burger King crown, matching homemade pj's, sparkle sweater = 80's}
I've decided to embrace my last year in my twenties and enjoy it daily.And didn't you hear...29 is the new 20...sweet!

{Out with the old...}

***Post edit: Looking for someone with quilting skills that could take about 20 items of the girls clothing cut them up in sqaures and make a quilt for my girls...anyone know of someone who does this?***

It was Bret's day off yesterday. A day that we usually plan something fun and exciting to do with kids ended up being a day we stayed in and got things done.

I've had plans to get rid of the boxes (and boxes) of girl clothes stacked high in bedroom closets since the day I found out we were expecting a boy. The good intentions were there but yesterday I finally found the motivation to just do it.

I'll admit that a few tears were shed as Bret and I opened the boxes (and boxes) of clothes and spread them out on the tables. So many memories and fun times came back.

"This is Summer 2007, Popsicles, Box Elder bugs and The Wiggles" I'd say.

"She walked in this one" He'd say.

What was a daunting and what I thought would be a not so fun task became a memory in and of itself as Bret and I remembered our little midgets and how they changed our lives.What you see in the pictures is half of what was there. We're on a roll selling everything for $1...not too shabby I'd say.

Knowing that other super cute little girls will be wearing clothes that spark such wonderful memories and learning experiences every time I see them makes me smile and a little less sad. After all...they're just clothes...it's the memories that I don't want to ever lose.

**p.s. Check out my little shop being featured on this rock'n site {HERE}. I'm trying to make time to create a bunch of Spring hair pins and earrings that will add the perfect pop to your Easter attire and make you dream of Sunny days. Update coming soon.

***p.p.s. How cool is my husband to help me out with the clothes? Don't worry...he still got to play the Wii and enjoy his day off...
