(Sparklers)New Year's Eve was a pretty chill event at our house. We stayed in...which is the celebration norm since having kids.
Who doesn't want to be a gold disco ball?
The evening was spent eating snacky foods (meatballs, rice, veggie tray, crackers + cheeseball, sweet treats), bubbly in crystal goblets, movie watching, dance party-ing, nose making, and fireworking.
It was all fun and games until the puke happened...and boy did it happen! Every hour (once or twice) until the following morning.
On New Year's day I smiled when I looked at my calendar and saw what seemed to me to be a clean slate. A new year filled with new adventures, challenges and growth.
2014 is going to be a good year. I choose to make this year the best one yet. I don't believe in resolutions...they provide little growth and don't allow continuity. All I want for this coming year is to embrace all that comes my way, look for learning moments in every experience and be a better person.
My word for 2014 is EMBRACE
Here's to a new year!!
