{Sunday photograph - 92}

As I type this, I am in a food coma, stomach distended from delicious food.  Today was a great day...the evening promising to be the same with  the kids going to bed and the adults staying up to play games and, I'm sure, laugh loudly.

I had grand plans to take pictures this morning before church but time got away from me and that didn't happen.  I quickly snapped some pictures with my phone after church before heading home, knowing that there was a large possibility that once we got home the opportunity for them to gather and sit still for a picture was pretty slim.

It's a good thing pictures were taken then, because once home everyone just wanted to change and be comfortable.

I  have to say...little boys in suits are awesome.  I kind of wanted to eat Jonas up every time I saw him.

Holidays are always better when you have family around to help celebrate.  We were fortunate enough to have a lot of family spend the day with us, making it even better.

The dinner this year was quite tasty.  Honey glazed ham, lamb chops marinated with fresh mint, garlic and other secret spices, cheesy potatoes, couscous and cucumber salad, and crusty bread were all enjoyed.  Though all the food was amazing, my favorite dish today was the baked asparagus with Parmesan and chopped bacon.  I am not sure I will be able to eat asparagus any other way now (recipe to be posted soon).
 The egg hunt took place in the back yard.  It was fun having so many guys to play the "Easter Bunny" role and hide all the loot.  The kids scored all of mine and Bret's favorite candy...thanks Easter Bunny!

Once the eggs were opened, the candy was dumped into one huge bowl for everyone to enjoy.  I have found this eliminates the little tiffs that happen over who got more candy/eggs.
 After all the food that was enjoyed an evening walk was in order.  Up and down the streets we all went, walking, being pushed in a stroller and taking turns on the long board.  At one point even old girls camp songs were sung.
While on the walk, Mailee came up to me and said "This was the best day ever!  Thanks Mom, and thanks Jesus!!".

She pretty much summed it up.  Happy Easter!!
