Today we spent most of the afternoon playing board games as a family. There was lots of funny discussions and laughing.
I always enjoy doing activities with the kids where we can have a lot of time to talk. They say the funniest things and usually have both Bret and I laughing along with them or trying our hardest not to laugh at a funny statement that wasn't meant to be funny.
Dinner tonight was a hit with the missionaries we had over for dinner. BBQ Teriyaki chicken, grilled pineapple with brown sugar glaze, rice, salad and crusty bread always seems to be a crowd pleaser...and simple for me to make as well.
We just finished watching a new series that Bret has been looking forward to. "United States of Bacon". My husband is a bacon lover...and that's putting it mildly. If you're a bacon lover too, check out this series, it won't disappoint.
This coming week is the last week before things get crazy again around here. Visitors, traveling, family reunions, beach trips, etc are jammed packed into the rest of our Summer. I looked at our calendar and there is something every day until the day before school starts again.
We like to keep it crazy...it's more fun.
