{Sunday Photographs- 64}

 Today we celebrated Father's Day.

Everyone needs a father or father figure in their life.  I'm glad the one my kids got is a pretty fantastic one.  Just look at those kids he gave me.  Yeah, those ones in the picture who are loving the candy lei we made more than their dad at the moment..

Oh how I love this guy...and mushy, mushy, other stuff.

Bret didn't get to have breakfast in bed.  He is on call and had to go do a C-section.  Don't fret though...the breakfast didn't go to waste...we enjoyed it for him and made sure to tell him how much he would've enjoyed it.

 When he got back the kids presented him with his gifts and homemade cards.

Jonas didn't want to give up his card. He's pretty enamored as of late with Mr. Vader (the picture is cut out from his coloring book - fancy I know).  In fact, proof of his love for Darth was on the card by way of a warped/dry drool spot on his helmet.

He did let Bret hold it for a minute, a great sacrifice on his part.  It must've been the influence of The Force.
 I asked Bret what he wanted to do today.  In typical Bret response, "EAT!" was the only suggestion given.  He requested my homemade Mac 'n Cheese and homemade brownies with Peanut Butter Cups somehow incorporated.

His wish is my command.

I think it's safe to say we are all in a food coma at the moment.
I love this guy, this father of my children.  I love my own dad and all that he is/does/teaches.  I love my brothers who are or will be fathers.  I love those who are father figures to my children.  I love that we got to celebrate and show appreciation for these men in our lives today.

Now if you will excuse me, I'm off to eat another brownie.
