{The Bees Knees}

I think it's safe to say my kids think my parents are pretty cool.

They think it's amazing my dad can talk to them just like Donald Duck, can play games with them on the Wii, play Bop It like a pro and make them laugh with his fun and games.

The reminiscing going on about their adventures with my mom has been non stop since we've been home.

A little recap of the things they did with her:

-Restaurant night. Menu's were created, cooking lessons occurred and specialty pizzas fit for an upscale fancy schmancy pizza place were made and eaten.

-Making maxi skirts. Cutting and sewing were all done by the girls with some help by Meme (may-may).

-A trip to the store to find accessories (furry purses, fuzzy scarves, hats with sequins and all sorts of styles) for their newly sewn skirts made their day.

-A fashion show with poses, music and even a little brother in fairy wings

All of these things were grand and good, but the thing they miss most...the animals. Chickens, bunnies, ducks...oh my!Checking for eggs and caring for the animals was a daily task they had to be a part of. I need to remember to pack clothes that I'm ok with getting dirty next time.Jonas was enamored by the birds in the trees, my brothers dogs and picking the shells off the "magic fountain".They always have a magical time at my parents house. parents are pretty much the bees knees.

I'm glad you had a great time in Utah. It makes the trips worth while when the kids want to go back to the fun they were having with their grandparents.

Hope you are all well. I'm sad we didn't get to see you along the way...maybe next time!
