{Cinnamon Butter}

This year I decided to make Cinnamon butter for our friends and neighbors.

This butter basically tastes the same as the delicious and addicting butter that is served at Texas Roadhouse with their warm, fresh rolls.

The girls helped stamp the tags, and place the bows. We then pretended to have our own cooking show while we made the yummy butter.

Believe me lots of giggles and weird accents were happening in the kitchen yesterday!

This recipe is simple and very delicious and can be used many different ways. I tripled the recipe.
Cinnamon Butter

2 sticks butter softened
1 - 1 /12 cup powdered sugar
1 cup honey
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Whip butter until fluffy. Add sugar, then honey, then cinnamon. Whip all ingredients together until fluffy and well incorporated. Scrape down the sides and whip some more.I used 4 ounce jam jars which you can find by the canning items at your local grocery store.

Fill a piping bag (or ziplock bag with a corn cut off) with the butter and fill jars. I found this to be much easier than attempting to spoon the butter in the jars (which I did with the first two until I thought of the piping bag).

Yields: six 4 ounce jars

*Suggested uses:
-on warm bread/rolls
-pancakes, waffles, and french toast
-stirred into oatmeal (a favorite use for me)
-eaten with a spoon (cause it's that good)

Mmmm yummy! Gotta try this!
Loving your nail polish too, do you mind sharing what color it is?

Paola - thanks! I have a lot of red polish but wanted a darker one that was still festive. It's OPI's "Mrs. O'leary's BBQ". Not a very Christmasy name but the color sure is!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Yum! That looks delicious. I love those tiny jam jars. I made caramels sauce for a party once and they were so cute. Let's face it, canning jars are pretty must the best for cute packaging. I wish I was your neighbor and we could trade treats.

Erica - I was able to find the nail polish! Sometimes it's hard to find a red that goes well with dark skin, but this one it's perfect! Thank you so much!
Warm Holiday Wishes and a 2012 full of new adventures for you and your family!
