It's raining and it's a flannel shirt wearing sort of day.We have at least two really large windows that Jonas could look out at the rain from a cozy couch. Instead, he comes to me, grunts "Up! Up!" until I hold him and let him watch the rain pour while in the comfort of my arms.
It was sweet and endearing for the first ten to fifteen minutes (quick take some pictures of this moment!)...but that little dude is heavy and my arms could only take so much. Jonas climbed all over my legs making his request to be picked back up over and over again, ignoring the attempts I made to show him he could stand on the couch and look out the window ("Oooh..look how cool the couch is buddy!"). So I caved and picked him back up.Look at his face. Seconds after he was picked up he looks as though he's still a little mad at me for even putting him down for any sort of respite from his 31 pounds of squishy flesh.
I am really enjoying my mornings with my Little Squish. It's just the two of us for the next four years and I'm trying to make the most of it. I better go and do some strength training on my arms....
