{Bits}

1.I stopped by Trader Joes last night to pick up some more raw almonds, Wasabi mix and my favorite soap. My love for Trader Joes runs deep.

2.I'm fully convinced that a haircut can make one's day. Having someone else do your hair while you sit and read gossip magazines is so very enjoyable.

I must remember how awesome Shane's hands are and go back more often for my scalp massage. Hello HEAVEN!

3.These Santa Ana winds are doing nothing for my hair...or our new grass. It was quite comical seeing Bret outside this morning walking up and down our new grass barefoot, trying to feel which spots are getting dried out due to the strong winds blowing the water away from where it's supposed to hit. I might have laughed when the sprinklers turned on and hit Bret.

What is it with guys and their yards?

4.I can not believe it's November already! I feel like the Thanksgiving holiday doesn't get enough attention. Already stores and commercials are filling our heads with Christmas. I'm really trying to make sure my kids take this month and focus on our blessings and showing our gratitude for something daily.

5.We have family pictures next week. I really don't like seeing my not so photogenic self in pictures and so thinking about family pictures always brings on a bit of stress for me. I enjoy being the one taking the pictures so much more then being the one photographed.

That being said I would like to have more pictures of me and my kids together as well as Bret and I that aren't taken by my 7 year old. I suppose I will just grin and bear it.

6. While walking my kids into school this morning my maxi skirt blew right up exposing myself to all those around me (blast you Santa Ana winds!). Let's just say it was one of those rare moments when I wished I was wearing yoga pants like a lot of the other moms.

7.Do you pluck, wax or thread your eyebrows? What lasts longer in your opinion? I prefer to wax but am open to trying something else.

8.Last week I forgot to pick up the kids from school on Early Release Day! Wanna know what I was doing when I was supposed to be picking them up? I was watching a documentary on The Wiggles. Yes, that's right....The Wiggles.

Hahaha, love the last one. And I know what you mean about the pictures. I, too, often feel that way, but let me assure you that there is no reason for you to feel self-conscious, for in every picture I've seen you, you look great! We are usually our own worst critics as I'm sure you know.

You always look pretty in your pictures!

2 yrs ago I went down the stairs in the subway in Barcelona. I was wearing a dress and thanks to some wind the exact same thing happened to me.

Like you I prefer having my eyebrows waxed but usually pluck them. Waxing lasts longer in my opinion.

I love this. Each one of these made me smile. I totally had a mental picture of Bret as an old man Clint Eastwood yelling at kids to get off his lawn. Ha.

Also, you are so beautiful and more photogenic than you think! I can't wait to see your family pictures. I am sure that they will be beautiful!
