{Family Time}

Brace yourself for a plethora of pictures in this post.

Our family reunion was fun, relaxing and often times bordering a little crazy - but that was to be expected with all the little ones running around.

I have 6 siblings and it's been a long time that all of us have been together in one place (missions, living in different states, etc. have made it difficult to all be there). There was only a two day period of time out of the 5 days when we all were there. Even though the time was short, it was fun having all of my siblings there. The ones that had to leave early were missed for sure!What's a family reunion without a cheesy shirt?A lot of things to celebrate. My parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary, my brother and sister-in-law announced they were having a baby and my littlest brother will be graduating from BYU tomorrow.A quick family meeting (quick is always good with kids attention spans) where Dad shared answers to the family survey and gave us some thoughts.Mom shared a story from her childhood in Tahiti where she was too poor to have a doll so she made one out of the plants in her backyard and cans from the trash. It really made my kids more aware of all that they have.

The kids were so into the story and the doll making...I just know I'll be asked to make dolls out of plants and trash for quite a while now.Someone always had an iPad. I admit that I really enjoyed playing a little Plants vs. Zombies myself.My mom is an amazing cook. You never need to worry about having good food when you're at a Welsh family gathering. Smoked Gouda and chicken paninis, pork enchiladas with creamy tomatillo dressing, and her specialty smoothies (to name a few) all were devoured.

The snack of choice was fresh mozerella slices, cucumbers, tomatoes, and fresh basil with a generous drizzle (or two) of her homemade vinaigrette dressing. YUM!Mom waving bye to the grandkids before going on a date. Taking advantage of all the babysitters available a lot of us went out on dates or enjoyed time as couples.Some of us took a walk around the St. George temple after attending church on Sunday.CousinsBrother #3 Sean and wife Cari.Brother #1 Jim with daughter.Swimming for 5-6 hours a day was the norm.Kids in goggles never get old! I would crack up every time my kids would look at me with their goggles on.My brother's family and ours decided to take a hike up Snow Canyon. We love the red rock all around.Hiking in swimsuits so we could jump back into the pool ASAP.The reunion was wonderful. Can't wait to do it again next year.
