Amid the laughter and smiles while attempting to squeeze this little chunk into the onesie and take the picture, the underlying feeling for me was one of nostalgia and longing for more time.
I am so glad I did this little photo series. Proof in a snapshot that time doesn't stand still no matter how much we wish it so, but also proof that life is amazing, growing and changing.
12 month stats:
25.7 pounds - a loss of weight and the first time he can actually be on the charts at 99th percentile.
31 inches - 96th percentile
head - large

Bret thinks I should continue taking a picture every 4 months until it's impossible for him to fit in his newborn outfit. I thought maybe ending at age one was a good cut off. What do you think?

Duh! Do it.
BTW he is just the cutest little guy around! Look at those perfect little teeth!
He really is the cutest! I say keep doing it!
hahaha, "head - Large" too funny. I can't believe you got him into that thing! if you wait another four months, you'll cut off his circulation!
SO SO adorable! Keep doing it! No reason not to! xoxo
yeah not sure that's even possible after 1!:) he's so lovable and adorable:)
He's so cute I say go for it... I like this idea I may have to copy it.
oh my goodness...i love this idea! i may have to steal it for the future. he is absoulutly adorable!...as are your two girls.
(came to your blog from jessie)
Erica- he is such a cute little boy.
Love this idea. What a cutie! Tell him he can look my daughter up in 20 years! ;)
I think it was a super cute idea. Maybe for the next year do a different outfit? I don't know if it would still work cause the growth spurts slow down, but it would be cute to see him outgrow more of a toddler boy outfit too.
I really liked this post. Wish I'd done that with an outfit.
You were so smart to do this! I love seeing how much he's grown and how different yet the same he is. What a cutie!!!! I think doing it for the first year is perfect... how on earth would you get it on him in another 4 months??? haha.
absolutely LOVE this idea. I'm gonna do this next time I have a little one. Love your blog and your photography!!!
Just because Bret can still fit in his Junior High clothes doesn't mean he should make Jonas have to keep trying on his baby clothes!!! But I am glad you took these pics......he looks great!
He is so handsome! I would quit at one. It might cut off his circulation if you keep going any longer:)
you might have to continue that tradition. i can just imagine him as a teenager with it on his wrist or something. like he will let you photograph him then.
That's such a cool idea!
I would do that untill one, then frame the outfit and hang it in his room :)
he's such a handsome kid erica! love these photos too!
oh my god this made me laugh out loud, so good! love your idea... wish i had thought of it too!
Oh my goodness, this just about had me in tears. Really. By the time I'd scrolled down to the first two pictures, I was already feeling the nostalgia and longing for more time. I don't have children of my own, so I really can only just imagine. When I saw that sixth picture, I couldn't help but to compare it to the first one. It's as though he's thinking, "Look at me, I'm all grown up and I'm SO happy!!!" Happy (belated) birthday to that sweet little Jonas! He's a lucky boy to have you as his mother:)
Oh, and definitely keep going with the onesie pictures. Best idea EVER. I will be stealing it someday.
Just stumbled in from Pinterest, but I'm *definitely* going to be doing this with my little guy who's due in just 6 short weeks. LOVE IT! What size outfit did you use?
Found this via pinterest...he's such a handsome little dude!
