3 out of 5 Grover's are down and out with horrible colds - it's no fun being sick and a fun at all.

In my drugged up state I forgot to get the camera out last night to take pictures of our annual Halloween pumpkin carve. I did manage to take pictures of mine and Bret's pumpkins when they were done but forgot to take pictures of the kid's pumpkins.

*sigh* *cough* *sniffle* *sigh*

I have to confess, Bret did most of the carving work. I was loopy yes, but even if I was in my 100% healthy state I don't have the patience to do the little intricate cuts that our designs usually require. I gave up about halfway through.

Bret has mad skills when it comes to carving and using his hands (wink, wink). I attribute it to all those times during Veterinary school when he had to practice tying stitches and using small cutting tools. I recall many nights spent watching him practice with his tools. We are looking forward to this weekend's festivities. Because Halloween falls on a Sunday this year we won't be going out trick-or-treating that night. I'm looking forward to staying in, making chili, eating chocolate frosted cake donuts and watching spooky movies as a family.

Check back Monday if you're curious as to what the kids were dressed up as this year.
