{Yays and Boos}

YAY:Our tax credit $$ came in the mail today. Now we can get our couches and entertainment center...finally. The credit was slightly more than we thought it would be due to interest...sweet!
BOO:It took forever to get. When a government institution tells you it will be 8-16 weeks just bank on the fact that it will arrive after the 16.YAY:For lazy Sunday afternoons spent making yummy chocolate brownies with these little ladies.
BOO:Chocolate covered faces are cute. Chocolate covered clothing and hair...not so much.YAY:Loving my circle rug that greets visitors at the front door. It keeps the dirty footprints at bay.
BOO:I need to figure out a storage solution where visitors can place their shoes. Any ideas?YAY:Bret has started riding his bike to work. I know he's been looking forward to this and now that the weather is cooler (relatively speaking of course) he is all over riding to work.
BOO:I worry about him getting hit by a car and admit that the sweaty person that greets me for lunch isn't my favorite.YAY:I love my blue cup. It came in a set of 6 as a wedding gift (8 years ago) and I've used it everyday since. Ice cold water just seems to taste so much better when it comes from this cup.
BOO:At dinner the other night I noticed a puddle forming around the cup. To my great disappointment I discovered a crack smack in the bottom middle of the cup. Sadly this last of the remaining 6 has now made its way to the recycling bin.
YAY:The girls were so excited/surprised that they could wear jeans today. I think they look so cute in their jeans. Wearing jeans also means "cooler" weather.
BOO:By nap time at 2 o'clock I made the girls change out of their pants. I didn't want them to wake up soaked in sweat. *sigh* Oh how I'm missing the Fall weather.YAY:I enjoy watching Dancing with the Stars. It's fun to see how far the pros who are from Utah and whom my family knows dance each week.
BOO:What's up with Singing lady's outfits and head piece each week? Bret and I look forward to seeing what she's wearing week after week. This week was awesome. All the other singers were wearing black and she was wearing the outfit in the picture. Wow...

What are your Yays and Boos?

p.s.Happy first day of October. I'mg going to enjoy finding spots to add a little Fall/Halloween flavor to around the house.

Kris loved riding his bike to work when we lived closer. He really misses it. And yes I worried about him getting hit by a car every single time he did it. The traffic out here is nightmarish!
But that's great. Good exercise, good for the environment and cheap! :)
I bet you miss fall. I really hope it cools down soon for youguys!

there will come a day when the IRS owes ME money, until that day I won't hold my breath. But still, it could happen.

I totally love Dancing with the Stars too, but seriously, what is up with that singer?!

I absolutely love the picture of Ella with the brownie batter on her face. Her look is priceless. She looks just like you in the picture. I know I've seen that look from you before! She is so grown up!

YAY! I can't wait to see what you buy, what fun! Sorry about your blue cup! The jeans are the cutest. I wore a long sleeved shirt and I knew I'd regret it, I just have a limited amount of clothing that is fitting me right now! :)

my shoe by the door solution is a medium size tin tub. You can get them at craft stores like michaels. i think they are intended for floral arrangements but mine is really cute & i love it! :) shoes do get jumbled in the tub but it's a nice looking alternative to a shoe rack or what not.
