{Yays and Boos}

YAY:When we first moved here I heard people talking about heading over to Rite Aid to get some Thrifty ice cream. People would rave about it and so we decided to try it. We love it! Usually we like to stop in and get a cone. They are very generous with their scoops and the price is super cheap.
BOO:Ice cream and I have a relationship. An unhealthy one. I love it. I crave it. Having cheap yummy ice cream is not a good thing for me.YAY:We got a new TV. Our old one had a huge "butt" and wouldn't fit in any of the entertainment centers we want.
BOO:We have the TV but no entertainment center...yet. Gotta get things for the house slowly remember.YAY:Apple season is here. I love biting into a crisp sweet apple. They are as addicting (when they are good) as ice cream.
BOO: Still trying to get Mailee to like the skin. Ella has never really had a problem with it but Mailee bites and spit out the chewed skin. UGH!YAY:For frosted mugs. Every time I open the freezer I smile when I see Bret's mug ready for any beverage. He claims everything tastes better in a frosted mug. The mug is the only thing he's picked out at a thrift store.
BOO:I'm kinda wishing I had a frosted mug too.YAY: For books. I've been reading a lot lately. After reading all the Austen books I needed something light and the series I just finished fit the bill. I loved it and read the whole series in a week!
BOO:I'm so sad the series is over! I always get like this when I'm done reading a series. I get attached to the characters and no other book sounds good for a while.YAY:Don't we all love the farmer's market? Fresh, locally grown produce and a wide array of people. You can always see a ton of colorful people at the market.
BOO:Visited our local farmer's market and wasn't very impressed. It wasn't very big and only had a few vendors that sold produce. I'm hoping it was due to the heat and the fires that not a lot of vendors showed up.YAY:I love Arrested Development with Bret. You can't get sick of watching this show. What are some of your favorite moments or lines from A.D.?
BOO: Boo to those of you who haven't watched it yet. Go and watch it. You'll laugh...at least I hope you do.

What are your Yays and Boos this week?

Thrifty Ice Cream ROCKS!!! Before it became "Rite Aid" it was "Thrifty Drug Store" I have so many wonderful memories of going there with my family just to get ICE CREAM!

http://www.penguin.co.uk/static/cs/uk/0/penguin_sets/billamberg_collection.html

if you want any I can get the cheapo and send them to you. they should retail at £50 but I bought them for £7.99. They are on th site for £120 for all of them, £20 each.

If you want any email me I will go back to the shop.

I think they would be a fab gift for Xmas. what says I love you more, than a classic fiction in the form or a journal.

I will take a picture for you and put it on my blog so you can see the quality.

THRIFTY ICE CREAM?!?!! Yes, oh yes! That was where we would go all the time to get our ice cream! It's the best! I didn't even know it was still around! Good to know, and glad you found it!

I am an ice cream fanatic! Haagen Daaz has my heart, though. I had the strawberry cheesecake pint the other day (yes, a pint), and oh my goodness, I think I passed out a few times it was that good. The Arrested Development chart is hilarious! I am so sad the show was terribly short-lived.

Next time you get Rite Aid ice cream, look for chocolate malted crunch. It's our favorite.

I am in the process of teaching my one year old how to do the chicken like Gob Bluth. So far we are not successful. But he sure thinks it's funny when I do it.

I remember getting Thrifty ice cream visiting family in California yummy that sounds so good right now... I went to the farmers market in provo last weekend and thought the same thing. There was like 3 places that really sold produce, ugh that bugs me... You have a Trader Joes though boo we don't.

Is that ice cream only in California? Sounds good. Apricot Mango? Yum.

(I can't remember where I commented about apple skins, so if this is a repeat, ignore it). Cut the apples in to really thin slices, then the skin isn't so noticeable. They're like apple chips. Learned this from my mom (a preschool teacher).

"You want your pants to buckle, not the chair"-Lucille

"And I'm the laaaast cop"-Tobias

"My name is Judge"-Judge

A.D. NEVER gets old! It's funny every time! And that ice cream sounds good. We were in Florida and had the Blue Bell ice cream that is the southern rage. Mmm mmm...it was delightful!

I am so sad that I can't think of any quotes from arrested development! It has been too long since we've watched it. Although I can never see someone in short cut-offs without thinking of a never nude, or someone on a segway without thinking of Gob. And I love, "Hello, Brother." hahaha. Oh my goodness that's a fun show.

Katie and Anna both spit their apple skins when they eat a whole apple like a princess. So, they usually get them cut up ;)
