I know I am keeping the length. I am of the opinion that long hair looks best on me (and prefer long hair on most other women as well). Once I cut my hair just below my ears and I looked like a giant walking mushroom! I'll probably have about 4 inches taken off which will leave my hair just below the middle of my back.
What I am not sure about is the cut/style. Below are four pictures of styles I'm considering. I need to find one that will work when I straighten my hair or throw some mousse in it and let it do it's naturally curly/wavy thing.
a. grow out bangs, very subtle layering - not sure about the middle partb. full bangs, straight across - wondering if the constant hair above my eyes will totally bug. Also wondering if I could pull the full bang look off or not.
c.long side swept bangs, choppy long layers and a few highlights - been there, done that with highlights...thinking to keep my hair all one color
d.short side swept bangs, face framing long layers only.
Which one do you like best?
post edit: What if I did the bangs of B (taking on your dare mom) and the layers of C? Also, Bret's least favorite is D.

I think C would look great, but b is really bold and could really be fun for a change. If you really hate it you just have to wait a few weeks to turn it into C : )
I think D would look great with your facial features!
I love A! C looks like what you already had which was of course beautiful. I also like D, but A is definitely my favorite.
I vote D because that looks the most like you, without being too out there.

the thick side-swipe bang thing drives me nuts. all of that thick hair in your face all the time? no thank you. it'll probably just end up in a clip or a ponytail anyway.
i think you can pull off the no bangs look.

I have hair that is wavy when it air dries, but isn't hard to blow dry straight either... for my "fancy look" I do BIG hot rollers...
and it looks great in all the styles, or un-styles, I have ever tried!
C or D. I have had almost every one of these styles and C is my favorite. I don't like the whole short bang thing...too trendy and you have to have the "right" forehead. I think you would look good with them, just too trendy. The long layered - side swept looks good with straight or natural curl. Good Luck!

I prefer C...without the highlights - go au naturel. Avoid B with the bangs - too trendy right now and I never personally liked bangs - I say I was absent the day foreheads were handed out. Ironically I had 'those' bangs when I was in 1st thru 4th grades...and never returned to that style. I'm sure you will look great in any of the styles...good luck and be sure to post lots of pics of your new do!
b is for bangs.
I dont know your style, but I have naturally curly hair and used to have style D. It was fun but it seems everyone has that same hair style right now. I wanted a big change so I did B and I really love it. The bangs dont drive you as crazy as you may think and if you want to do it curly all you have to do is spend 2 minutes blow drying your bangs and then you have a beachy look. Or if you dont want the hair in your face you can pin it to the side. There really is so many things you can do with this one though. Anyway, I vote b.
p.s. Also, dont be afraid of the middle part... I think its really flattering on a lot of face shapes.
p.s. and just after a couple of weeks, you can wear it straight bangs or side swept. so you can have both!

I think you could totally pull off bangs. Go for it...they grow fast, so you can always get rid of them.
I like D, cuz it's super cute and you will transform into C in a month or so :) Then you will get two styles for the price of one...well more like you'll get your money's worth LOL

I think you'd look great in B and you'd really feel like you did something different -- new look, new feel, etc. You'd look great in any of them, though!

I am in LOVE with A and B!!! I've had the bangs numerous times and while I love the look, they do get a little tiresome. But if you can handle them every day, I say go for it!! I just cut side bangs and am cursing myself because of it... I am wishing my hair looked like Kate Beckinsale now haha!!! :) And I am SO with you on the long hair thing... I think that C would look so cute on you and totally suit your hair texture, face shape, style etc. But I have to say B would be so fun! I think you could pull off bangs and it would be really cute and fun. I have toyed with the idea of bangs again, but I swore them off when my mom cut mine too short in grade 6, so traumatic. I grew them out then and haven't looked back. The side sweep is as close as I'll get ;) Seriously, it was super traumatizing! Okay, just noticed the post edit and am loving that idea. Can't wait to see what you do, I am sure you will look incredibly hot no matter what! :)
PS - got my little lovelies this weekend and I LOVE them!! I've gotten tons of compliments on them from the farmer's market and church.
